II. Production and market of isopropanol

the industrial production route of isopropanol mainly adopts propylene direct hydration method and propylene sulfuric acid oxidation method. Due to the complex process and serious environmental pollution, the production cost of propylene sulfuric acid oxidation method is high. At present, it is gradually eliminated, accounting for about 36% of the total production capacity. The rest are propylene direct hydration method, which is divided into gas-phase hydration method, liquid-phase hydration method and gas-liquid mixed phase hydration method, The three methods have their own advantages. Among them, the industrial production is mainly gas-phase and liquid-phase water method. The gas-phase water method is used in Jinzhou petrochemical production plant in China
